Professional adds four capabilities Standard lacks: SharePoint task-list sync (two-way), Project Server / Project Online integration (connect to your org’s on-prem Project Server or cloud tenant), master projects + sub-projects (roll up multiple projects into one consolidated view), and multiple baselines (save and compare up to 11). If you’re a solo PM or freelancer managing your own projects, Standard 2021 at $79.99 is usually enough. If you connect to a corporate Project Server, SharePoint, or need cross-project rollups, you need Pro.
Project Pro 2021 vs Project Pro 2024 — what’s the difference?
The core PM engine — Gantt, resource leveling, critical path, EVM, SharePoint sync, Project Server integration — is identical. Project Pro 2024 ($104.99) adds demand management, refreshed UI, and a longer support window (mainstream through October 2029). Will my key activate on the first try?
